A Mural Of Elkhorn, For Elkhorn

The Elkhorn Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Center and Someplace Else Restaurant unveiled a stunning new mural at 3 West Walworth Street in downtown Elkhorn on May 17, 2025. The full-color design, painted by Bloomington-based artist Troy Freeman of FreeSky Studios, stretches 45 feet wide by 15 feet tall and celebrates the vibrant attractions and deep-rooted heritage of the Elkhorn community.

Hand-painted onto aluminum panels and carefully affixed to the side of Someplace Else, the mural preserves the 1880s-era historic brick building beneath while transforming the streetscape into an outdoor gallery. From the Walworth County Fair to the rolling golf courses, from the rich music legacy to the agricultural heartbeat of the region — every brushstroke tells a story of Elkhorn.
