Walworth County Fair

Established in 1849 and held annually in Elkhorn since 1851, the Walworth County Fair is now the largest county fair in Wisconsin. Spanning six action-packed days over Labor Day Weekend across nearly 99 acres of fairgrounds, it draws around 180,000 visitors each year.

Guests enjoy carnival rides, food-on-a-stick, and major headliner concerts in the grandstand. Beyond the main stage, there are livestock shows, horse events, contests, and hands-on Barnyard Adventure activities like butterfly releases and kids' learning co-op programming. Stroll through horticulture and agricultural exhibits, explore craft fairs, enjoy daily free music at Park Stage, and visit educational booths and markets across the grounds.

Fair staples include giant cinnamon rolls, steak sundaes, footlong corndogs, and Crab Shack goodies. Be sure to support local with a grilled cheese and milkshake from the Elkhorn FFA, a pork sandwich from the Walworth County 4-H House of Pork, and a fresh slice of pie with ice cream from Sugar Creek Lutheran Church.
